We've previously reported this event, but now have more details. The Friends of Alta Plaza Park are celebrating the completion of the park tennis courts resurfacing project with a dedication ceremony on Sunday, September 20th. The event will include the unveiling of a commemorative plaque honoring tennis legend Helen Wills Moody — one of the sport's all-time greats and a proud San Franciscan.
Kat Anderson, Park Commission President, and D2 Supervisor Stephen Sherrill will participate. Bring your friends and family to celebrate — and to see the courts in their full, resurfaced glory. Enjoy tennis instruction, games, and refreshments. Alta Plaza Park tote bags will be distributed to past donors and new members at the Friends of Alta Plaza Park hospitality booth.
