Help yourself and your loved ones stay safe! It's only a matter of time before disaster happens. Here's a wonderful opportunity for you and your neighbors to be prepared.
Map Your Neighborhood (MYN) is a program to organize neighbors so they can help one another and their neighborhood in the event of an emergency. Disasters can be caused by not only by earthquakes but also by common occurrences such as major power outages, fire, and water main breaks. When neighbors know each other, and the equipment and skills each can provide, together they can be more self-sufficient when the Fire Department and other First Responders are overwhelmed.
Learn the 9 steps you and your neighbors need in the crucial 60 minutes following a disaster. This class is an interactive session. You will receive an instructional booklet, and - more importantly - a desire to connect with those around you to get organized! Co-hosted by Pacific Heights Residents Association and Cavalry Presbyterian. Presented by NERT Coordinator Sue Brown.
Ideal, but not required: please bring a buddy from your block or nearby micro-neighborhood.
